I spoke to a new engineer. The old one has gone out of business (or retired, it's been that long…)

I confessed all my sins and have received my penance: unwind the snowball that started when we swapped in the GD front crossmember (steering rack, column, wheel, etc).

That requires a lot of stuff that was chucked or irretrievably ‘adjusted’.

shrug - Let's dig in.

Switching to a non-turbo crossmember means a little nicer fitting exhaust. You might be able to spot the difference, non- turbo crossmember in front.

Side note, at a glance it looks like GD lower control arms will fit with the GC crossmember but nope, they wider.

While I was in there I added some roll-centre correction. Fancy.

There is some great news: the Liberty ABS can stay, but needs to keep stock knuckles. I am now researching ideas for mounting sensors - probably inboard. More to come as we have it.
